About Surah Al Mulk Itqo. بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful. تَبٰرَكَ الَّذِیْ بِیَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ٘- وَ هُوَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَیْءٍ قَدِیْرُۙﰳ۱ BLESSED BE HE who holds the reins of Kingship in His hand, who has power over everything, الَّذِیْ خَلَقَ الْمَوْتَ وَ الْحَیٰوةَ لِیَبْلُوَكُمْ اَیُّكُمْ اَحْسَنُ عَمَلًاؕ-وَ هُوَ الْعَزِیْزُ الْغَفُوْرُۙ۲ Who created death and life in order to try you to see who of you are best of deed. He is all-mighty and forgiving, الَّذِیْ خَلَقَ سَبْعَ سَمٰوٰتٍ طِبَاقًاؕ-مَا تَرٰى فِیْ خَلْقِ الرَّحْمٰنِ مِنْ تَفٰوُتٍؕ-فَارْجِعِ الْبَصَرَۙ-هَلْ تَرٰى مِنْ فُطُوْرٍ۳ Who created the seven skies one above the other. Do you see any disproportion in the creations of Ar-Rahman? Turn your eyes again. Do you see any fissures? ثُمَّ ارْجِعِ الْبَصَرَ كَرَّتَیْنِ یَنْقَلِبْ اِلَیْكَ الْبَصَرُ خَاسِئًا وَّ هُوَ حَسِیْرٌ۴ Turn your eyes again and again. Your gaze turns back dazed and tired. وَ لَقَدْ زَیَّنَّا السَّمَآءَ الدُّنْیَا بِمَصَابِیْحَ وَ جَعَلْنٰهَا رُجُوْمًا لِّلشَّیٰطِیْنِ وَ اَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَابَ السَّعِیْرِ۵ We have adorned the lowest sky with lamps, and made them missiles against the devils, for whom We have prepared a torment of most intense fire. وَ لِلَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوْا بِرَبِّهِمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَؕ-وَ بِئْسَ الْمَصِیْرُ۶ For those who believe not in their Lord there is the punishment of Hell; and what a wretched destination اِذَاۤ اُلْقُوْا فِیْهَا سَمِعُوْا لَهَا شَهِیْقًا وَّ هِیَ تَفُوْرُۙ۷ When they are cast into it, they will hear it roar and raging تَكَادُ تَمَیَّزُ مِنَ الْغَیْظِؕ-كُلَّمَاۤ اُلْقِیَ فِیْهَا فَوْجٌ سَاَلَهُمْ خَزَنَتُهَاۤ اَلَمْ یَاْتِكُمْ نَذِیْرٌ۸ As though it would burst with fury. Every time a crowd is thrown into it, its wardens will ask "Did no warner come to you?" قَالُوْا بَلٰى قَدْ جَآءَنَا نَذِیْرٌ ﳔ فَكَذَّبْنَا وَ قُلْنَا مَا نَزَّلَ اللّٰهُ مِنْ شَیْءٍ ۚۖ-اِنْ اَنْتُمْ اِلَّا فِیْ ضَلٰلٍ كَبِیْرٍ۹ And they will answer "Surely; a warner came to us, but we denied him, and said ´God did not send down any thing; you are greatly deluded, in fact.´" وَ قَالُوْا لَوْ كُنَّا نَسْمَعُ اَوْ نَعْقِلُ مَا كُنَّا فِیْۤ اَصْحٰبِ السَّعِیْرِ۱۰ They will say "If we had listened and been wise, we would not have been among the inmates of Hell." فَاعْتَرَفُوْا بِذَنْۢبِهِمْۚ-فَسُحْقًا لِّاَصْحٰبِ السَّعِیْرِ۱۱ So will they confess their guilt. Deprived of all joys will be the inmates of Hell. اِنَّ الَّذِیْنَ یَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُمْ بِالْغَیْبِ لَهُمْ مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَّ اَجْرٌ كَبِیْرٌ۱۲ For those who fear their Lord in secret is forgiveness and a great reward. وَ اَسِرُّوْا قَوْلَكُمْ اَوِ اجْهَرُوْا بِهٖؕ-اِنَّهٗ عَلِیْمٌۢ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُوْرِ۱۳ Whether you say a thing secretly or openly, He knows the innermost secrets of your hearts. اَلَا یَعْلَمُ مَنْ خَلَقَؕ-وَ هُوَ اللَّطِیْفُ الْخَبِیْرُ۠۱۴ Can He who has created not know His creation? He is all-penetrating, all-aware. هُوَ الَّذِیْ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْاَرْضَ ذَلُوْلًا فَامْشُوْا فِیْ مَنَاكِبِهَا وَ كُلُوْا مِنْ رِّزْقِهٖؕ-وَ اِلَیْهِ النُّشُوْرُ۱۵ It is lie who made the earth subservient to you that you may travel all around it, and eat of things He has provided; and to Him will be your resurrection. ءَاَمِنْتُمْ مَّنْ فِی السَّمَآءِ اَنْ یَّخْسِفَ بِكُمُ الْاَرْضَ فَاِذَا هِیَ تَمُوْرُۙ۱۶ Are you so unafraid that He who is in Heaven will not open up the earth to swallow you, when it will begin to tremble? اَمْ اَمِنْتُمْ مَّنْ فِی السَّمَآءِ اَنْ یُّرْسِلَ عَلَیْكُمْ حَاصِبًاؕ-فَسَتَعْلَمُوْنَ كَیْفَ نَذِیْرِ۱۷ Or have you become so unafraid that He who is in Heaven will not send a violent wind to shower stones at you? Then you will know the import of My commination! وَ لَقَدْ كَذَّبَ الَّذِیْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ فَكَیْفَ كَانَ نَكِیْرِ۱۸ Those before them had also denied. And how was My punishment then! اَوَ لَمْ یَرَوْا اِلَى الطَّیْرِ فَوْقَهُمْ صٰٓفّٰتٍ وَّ یَقْبِضْنَﰉ مَا یُمْسِكُهُنَّ اِلَّا الرَّحْمٰنُؕ-اِنَّهٗ بِكُلِّ شَیْءٍۭ بَصِیْرٌ۱۹ Do they not see the birds above them flying wings spread out or folded? Nothing holds them aloft but God. All things are within His purview. اَمَّنْ هٰذَا الَّذِیْ هُوَ جُنْدٌ لَّكُمْ یَنْصُرُكُمْ مِّنْ دُوْنِ الرَّحْمٰنِؕ-اِنِ الْكٰفِرُوْنَ اِلَّا فِیْ غُرُوْرٍۚ۲۰ What other army do you have to help you apart from Ar-Rahman? The unbelievers are surely lost in delusion. اَمَّنْ هٰذَا الَّذِیْ یَرْزُقُكُمْ اِنْ اَمْسَكَ رِزْقَهٗۚ-بَلْ لَّجُّوْا فِیْ عُتُوٍّ وَّ نُفُوْرٍ۲۱ Who is there to give you food in case He withholds His bounty? Yet they persist in rebellion and aversion. اَفَمَنْ یَّمْشِیْ مُكِبًّا عَلٰى وَجْهِهٖۤ اَهْدٰۤى اَمَّنْ یَّمْشِیْ سَوِیًّا عَلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِیْمٍ۲۲ Will he find the way who grovels flat on his face, or he who walks straight on the right path? قُلْ هُوَ الَّذِیْۤ اَنْشَاَكُمْ وَ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَ الْاَبْصَارَ وَ الْاَفْـٕدَةَؕ-قَلِیْلًا مَّا تَشْكُرُوْنَ۲۳ Say "It is He who raised you and gave you ears and eyes and hearts. How little are the thanks you offer!" قُلْ هُوَ الَّذِیْ ذَرَاَكُمْ فِی الْاَرْضِ وَ اِلَیْهِ تُحْشَرُوْنَ۲۴ Say "It is He who dispersed you all over the earth, and to Him you will be gathered." وَ یَقُوْلُوْنَ مَتٰى هٰذَا الْوَعْدُ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صٰدِقِیْنَ۲۵ But they say "When will this promise come to pass, if what you say is true?" قُلْ اِنَّمَا الْعِلْمُ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ۪-وَ اِنَّمَاۤ اَنَا نَذِیْرٌ مُّبِیْنٌ۲۶ Say "God alone has knowledge. My duty is only to warn you clearly." فَلَمَّا رَاَوْهُ زُلْفَةً سِیْٓــٴَـتْ وُجُوْهُ الَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوْا وَ قِیْلَ هٰذَا الَّذِیْ كُنْتُمْ بِهٖ تَدَّعُوْنَ۲۷ When they realise it has come upon them, distraught will be the faces of unbelievers. They will be told "This is what you asked for." قُلْ اَرَءَیْتُمْ اِنْ اَهْلَكَنِیَ اللّٰهُ وَ مَنْ مَّعِیَ اَوْ رَحِمَنَاۙ-فَمَنْ یُّجِیْرُ الْكٰفِرِیْنَ مِنْ عَذَابٍ اَلِیْمٍ۲۸ Say "Just think If God destroys me and those with me, or is benevolent to us, who will then protect the unbelievers from a painful doom?" قُلْ هُوَ الرَّحْمٰنُ اٰمَنَّا بِهٖ وَ عَلَیْهِ تَوَكَّلْنَاۚ-فَسَتَعْلَمُوْنَ مَنْ هُوَ فِیْ ضَلٰلٍ مُّبِیْنٍ۲۹ Say "He is the benevolent; in Him do we believe, and in Him do we place our trust. You will now realise who is in manifest error." قُلْ اَرَءَیْتُمْ اِنْ اَصْبَحَ مَآؤُكُمْ غَوْرًا فَمَنْ یَّاْتِیْكُمْ بِمَآءٍ مَّعِیْنٍ۠۳۰ Say "Just think If your water were to dry up in the morning who will bring you water from a fresh, flowing stream?"
